Rory Roberts is President, and involved in operating, In
Tech Risk Management Inc. In addition to his normal activities
as a consultant to over sixty-five financial institutions
in Canada and the United States of America, a number of real
estate companies, and others, he is an active participant
in furthering insurance risk management education within the
financial institution and real estate industries. He has also
published a number of papers on various insurance risk management
matters.
He has successfully completed the ACII insurance exams, and
teaches lenders and real estate developers on insurance risk
management topics which impact on their investments. He also
speaks at numerous seminars for such entities as the Law Society
of Upper Canada, the Ontario Bar Association, the Chicago
Bar Association, the American Bar Association, the Urban Land
Institute, The International Council of Shopping Centers,
and similar entities in both Canada and the United States
of America, is a consultant to the insurance committee of
the American College of Real Estate Lawyers (ACREL), CIPREC,
the Canadian Bankers Association. He has appeared as an expert
witness on many occasions on issues of professional liability
for architects and engineers and insurance brokers, he has
just appeared before the Supreme Court of the State of New
York on the issue of terrorism insurance for the real estate
industry in that state.
In February 2003, Roberts addressed the Urban Land Institute
in Phoenix, Arizona on construction and real estate insurance,
terrorism, mold and corporate governance.

Sarah E. Roberts, Vice President of In Tech Risk Management
Inc., has a B.A. (Hon) from Trinity University, a member of
the University of Toronto and her Canadian Risk Management
degree (CRM). She is currently working towards completion
of a Fellowship in Risk Management and an Associateship in
Surety and Construction Bonding.
Prior to joining In Tech, Sarah worked as a broker at Aon
Reed Stenhouse Inc, the second largest broker in the world.
Sarah worked primarily on non-profit accounts including the
Ontario Non-Profit Housing Association and the Anglican Church
of Canada.
In addition to her consulting role, Sarah is also responsible
for the insurance renewal tracking operations and has a team
of trained people handling the annual tracking of insurances
required to be carried by Borrowers and Tenants, in accordance
with their contractual obligations.
Sarah conducts seminars in Canada and the United States
for In Tech clients on insurance education, terrorism, and
current market conditions.
Sarah’s speaking engagements so far this year include
the First Nations Energy Conference and the Canadian Hotel
Investment Conference.

Lisa Speirs, Senior Vice-President of In Tech
Risk Management Inc., started in the insurance business in
1983 and for the past eleven years has been dealing at In
Tech with real estate in Canada and the United States of America,
from an insurance point of view.
Prior to joining In Tech, Lisa was assistant risk manager
and then risk manager for two major real estate companies
based in Toronto.
Lisa has a B.A. and her Canadian Risk Management degree (CRM)
and has participated in a number of insurance risk management
seminars and workshops on subjects applicable to the real
estate industry.
In addition to her usual risk management consulting activities,
she also conducts seminars in Canada for In Tech clients on
insurance and indemnification clauses in leases and other
contracts and handles the receipt of insurance proceeds in
the event of a loss.
